Skill Level: Beginner - Easy
Stitches and Abbreviation: Cast On (CO), Stitches (sts), Knit (k).
Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rows = 4 " (10 cm)
Size: 22 inches in circumferences, 16 inches high (stretchy).
Needle:6 mm 16-inch (or longer) circular needle.
Yarn: Worsted Weight yarn (100 gr./220 m.) (9 wpi).
Three ball of worsted weight yarn any color of your choice.
(Yarn Suggestion: You may not find this same yarn but closest is Smoothie DK Yarn from Patons, you can use it as a substitute.))
Notion: 8 Buttons (1 cm diameter), Space Marker, Scissors, Yarn needle.
Instructions
Start with dark blue yarn, CO 100 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd. Join by working the first st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right-hand needle, being careful not to twist sts.
First Color
Cast on 84 sts and join in the round, be careful not to twist your cast on around the needles. Place a stitch marker to indicate the end of the round.
Rnd 1 to 34: Knit to end of rnd – 100 sts at the end of this rnd. Weave in ends.
Second Color
You have to pick up 100 stitches on the wrong side of facing. Start by picking up stitches from first color's round 29. You can pick up several stitches with a hook, it's easier that way to begin the round with new color, as in the pictures below.
Rnd 1 to 34: Knit to the end of rnd – 100 sts. Weave in ends. As you can see above.
